Belgischer Hof in Cologne

After our wedding, we ate and toasted in a small circle in the Flammkuchenhütte (of course, before the shutdown, taking into account all corona rules applicable at the time). What can I say: It was wonderful! The food was delicious and the service extremely friendly and warm. The preliminary meeting was also nice and very accommodating. The decor of the restaurant with the small courtyard is beautiful, and the decoration with fresh flowers was so pretty that we hardly had to add anything ourselves. We couldn't have asked for a better location for our small wedding reception. Many thanks to the whole team for giving us such a great day! Family and friends were thrilled and we will always look back on this great day with pleasure. By the way: The Corona hygiene concept in the Belgischer Hof also convinced us when we went to the "normal" restaurant: while in September / October the people in many bars and pubs still huddled close together at the rings, great importance was attached to welcoming guests and Protecting staff - and it was still pleasant. Excelente and we were really enthusiastic and surprised without any idea of ​​the food. Okay, you don't have to add the Belgian beer to it ... Creme Brülee jamajam ? gladly again.

Even though the card didn't appeal to me at first, I was "allowed" to go there anyway. But I really loved the food! On our next visit to Cologne we will definitely make a stop there! Definitely great!

Looks like nothing from the front, but if you walk down the (entrance) aisle, it's olala! A narrow, leafy alley from which several rooms lead off form this gem. Everything is in the rustic Benelux style. Lots of wood, neither steel nor plastic nor neon. The menu is small, which suggests fresh ingredients and preparation. My food was wonderful. The plum cake with mousse au chocolat for dessert is also homemade. Price-performance ratio top, staff sympathetic and friendly. Again any time!

A wonderful restaurant with sophisticated, creative cuisine. The food is really exquisite and we were delighted with a great surprise menu. The waitresses were without exception great and courteous and also knew how to leave us alone when we were deep in conversation. The ambience is also very pleasant, and we especially like the inner courtyard. The star deduction is available for the acoustics: even by Cologne standards it was extremely loud without music playing. After the evening I was hoarse because we all had to scream to understand each other. If something could be done about it, it would be the perfect restaurant!

Very comfortably furnished restaurant. Great outdoor area, very tasty tarte flambée, (my favorite is the one with the goat cheese), great and attentive staff, highly recommended.

Friendly, attentive service, unfortunately only a small menu at lunchtime. Was in the courtyard, an atmosphere like in the south. I ordered tarte flambée Merguez. Super delicious with a glass of white wine. Price / offer: Very good. See you soon!

A really good place to have a dinner...the atmosphere and ambient ist really nice and cozy, food also is good and they have a good selection of wine too. Unfortunately, we're disappointed with the dessert, the taste was tasteless and it doesn't bring any emotion.

We celebrated our wedding last year in the Belgian courtyard, it couldn't have been nicer ? the food was great, the staff couldn't be topped and everything was super uncomplicated. I would do it again immediately ?? Thank you again for this unforgettable day

Pretty courtyard, dedicated and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the main course (salad croque Belgian court) had the same side dishes that were served on the starter platter. The only difference is the bread. A tip from the staff would have been nice when ordering, because who wants to eat the same thing twice?

Beautiful restaurant and delicious food. Unfortunately 2 star deduction - since we had made a reservation a week in advance and explicitly asked for a place outside. This was assured us but then Monday the bad surprise No table outside was free. No attempt was made to get us a seat outside in any way, nor were any guests in the next few minutes not advised of this. I was a waiter myself for years and that was a NOGO The boss was neither there nor available by phone, according to the waiters.

I had a lovely evening here. The restaurant is very cozy and lovely for both a romantic or a friendly setting. A nice range of German, Dutch and Belgian beers available. Flammkuchen was quite nice as well

Playful, breathing French lightness. Belgian beers, also on tap, abound. Especially recommended: duck with red cabbage. Class!

While it might not be a Michelin - Star restaurant, it surely is a high quality place. We very much enjoyed tonight (again) the high quality of food, wine and service. It might not be cheap, but it offers high value and quality.

Lovely restaurant, very friendly staff, the menus are in German but the waitress very kindly offered to translate anything we needed, and even gave us her own recommendations. Food was delicious and a very good size, and good prices.

Judging by other reviews we had awful luck, but for our experience I couldn’t give any higher than a 1. The waitress forgot to bring us our beer, then brought the wrong beer, then we waited for an hour(!) for our food. They gave us some schnapps and more bread and dip while we waited yet another 10 minutes for our food (we came “during a rush” so they hadn’t gotten around to us for whatever reason), and when it came my husband’s pork was raw! Talk about a health hazard! We sent it back and it came back on the same plate, just with the pork reheated (and therefore tough and dry) and some veg missing. We were offered a coffee on the house but by that time we just wanted to get out of there. The bill came, and to put the cherry on the cake we had been charged extra for the wrong beer. We had run out of patience long before we got our food though so we begrudgingly put down our €33 (for 2 beers, raw pork and tarte flambée) and left. One star for a nice atmosphere, zero stars for anything else.

Amazing hidden gem in Köln, Germany. Make reservations for your trip. The mustard-crusted veal medallion was delicious with a plum sauce.

Take one of their excellent Flammkuchens for a quick bite or a full menu for a romantic dinner. Won't be disappointed. Make always a reservation because they are often fully booked

Had my birthday in this restaurant on a Saturday evening with a group of 10+ people. The food was amazing and the price more than reasonable for what you get. The service was great and they were very flexible with my demands, in spite of all the changes I’ve been requesting. I would absolutely recommend, my guests were all extremely satisfied and so I was!

Ah, what can I say, perhaps the perfect place for a romantic getaway. I love how discreetly it is structured. You would think you're only left with a dead end by the corner but lo and behold you are already at the restaurant, entrance. Even if it sets the mood for romantic dinners, group get-togethers also flock in this place as it offers a more exclusive feel. The restaurant menu is priced right and serves a good full tummy to return home.
